RYA VHF Radio Course (DSC)

RYA VHF Radio Course (DSC)

Our RYA VHF radio course introduces you to the VHF and GMDSS radio sets and follows the short range certification required to achieve the qualification of Restricted (VHF) Radio Operator.  This is a legal requirement for using or overseeing a VHF radio on board a ship.

The RYA VHF radio course ensures a quality standard agreed with MCA and is internationally recognised.  The procedures are also internationally recognised for use on the Short Range Radio airwaves.  This course is an essential requirement before completing any RYA practical exams and to gain commercial endorsement.

The course will be run at our specialist training site and training room and will use specially adapted radio sets to ensure you receive the most realistic training and experience.  All of our courses are run by highly skilled instructors to allow you to learn from their experience and knowledge.
